Jeff Koons burst onto the contemporary art scene in the 1980's. He emerged to be among the most famous, important, subversive and expensive artists in the world. Here he has curated a range of works from his entire career.

This publication Includes an interview with the artist and an essay by Sir Norman Rosenthal. "I couldn’t think of a better place to have a dialogue about art today and what it can be," said the artist of his works being presented at the esteemed Ashmolean Museum.

From his earliest works, he as pushed at the accepted boundaries of art. His explorations are of ‘ready-made’ and appropriated images – using unadulterated found objects with which he creates painstaking replicas of ancient sculptures and Old Master paintings of high craftsmanship and precision. Featured here are 17 important pieces. They span his entire career and include his most well-known series,  including Equilibrium, Statuary, Banality, Antiquity and his more recent Gazing Ball sculptures and paintings. The material will provoke a conversation between his creations and the history of art and ideas with which the work engages.
